Well, the thing with Mnemosyne is, if you take it at face value, it's not much beyond gore, nudity, and hawt moaning :D The plots are kinda loopholey and the mystery of the Time Spores and Apos aren't incredibly compelling. But I like the characters, and so personally the thing that makes this series stand out is when they show how the the passage of time affects the characters.

The most obvious is how everyone around Rin and Mimi age, while they remain the same. That, however, isn't quite original. But if I imagine that Rin and Mimi themselves change subtly, then the series progression becomes much more interesting and enjoyable.

Rin and Mimi's relationship is completely open to interpretation so I don't put much authority on my ideas; that said, it was great fun to use my imagination a little, heheh.

Bah, I totally spoiled myself by reading your entry. But not really, since you focused more on characters themselves than plot.

I never really looked at Mimi, so all the things you mentioned about her are rather interesting. Thinking back, I always thought she was just teasing with Rin.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but Mimi being 'melancholic' with the information dealer seems to me that she's doesn't really enjoy it. As such, I doubt that she's found a new object of affection.

...Can't believe I just looked past the ostensible fore and nudity in writing this comment. lols.
