Well, to be honest web-work doesn't really pay more than slave labour wages (long work hours and unpredictable rush jobs) but in Japan that's still more than enough to live decently and buy/rent anime and manga, and hang with cool people. Heck, it's worth it to be able to head to Comike and Akihabara and walk 10 mins to a video store.

I remember buying this chinese anime/manga magazine when I was a kid, damn, can't remember what it was called but that was my biggest fix, other than old robot shows from the rental store, and Robotech on TV, and praying for another chance to go to Singapore and buy SM CDs and bootleg posters from Orchard Road.

Hmm... web or design-related eh.. I can't say I'm good at those. Only thing I know now is using Wordpress and a little bit of CSS handling. I guess I should concentrate on learning more web design stuff.

I really REALLY need to get another hobby other than watching anime.

>>I thought the Star had published a more balanced article?

Yeah, they did. I scanned it and uploaded it to my blog. Quality not that good though.

Hey Kurogane, thanks for stopping by! If you ever want to migrate, and can do anything web or design-related, we'll take you in!! :D (The horrors of labour shortage..)

Anyway, I can't believe they are pulling that sort of crap back home. It's like the US 10 years ago. Hopefully it'll all blow over once they find something else to make a fuss about. I thought the Star had published a more balanced article?

PS, Your gigabytes of doujin can always be safe with me...

I envy you. Why am I too poor to migrate to Japan _|-|0'''''?

Whatever you do, don't, I seriously mean, DON'T come back here, not especially after that mess that a certain newspaper made. I'm still running my hard disk thorugh industrial strength data deleters, in case the local authorities get wind of my blog and discover the gigabytes of doujin that I've stored.
