More about Kannaduki

Hmm, I’m rapidly becoming a fan of postings about Kannaduki. While trawling for the ED theme “Agony” by KOTOKO, I found another one at yayapapayaz.com which is perhaps the most eloquent summation of a person’s reaction to the show. It’s unexpected touching, and reworks it from an anime which you could otherwise interpret as cheezy fanservice knockoff to a very moving tragic love story.
Other reviews, good and bad, can be found here
Hmm, I’m tempted to rewatch this show again - fast-forwarding all the mechs of course - and even buy the R2 DVDs. Gotta encourage quality yuri, right? :P

Recently I came across an impressive tribute to Kannazuki no miko in the form of a review/overview/analysis found at http://www.amvs.org/miko/index.htm
I spent perhaps a few hours reading through the entire thing before rushing to rewatch the series with a newfound appreciation. The observations are invaluable aids to one who only holds a shaky appreciation for the show (like I once was) - putting it lightly, reading this made me love fall in love with Kannazuki all over again. I have no idea who the author is but I couldn’t recommend it enough, just go read a few sentences and it’ll make your day ^^ I enjoyed a Kannazuki marathon yesterday and felt the entire time I was finally watching with ‘eyes unclouded’ :)
Of course for those of you who believe you have an excellent grasp of the show already, I recommend reading through the commentaries for the sake of nostalgia! Enough gushing… or maybe one more ^^; I stumbled across your blog whilst searching for more Himeko/Chikane images and it was a joy to read through consecutive entries regarding some of the most important shoujo-ai animes of recent years. Very funny insights - I’ll be watching for updates in the future!
